This is a great read! David sets great context and is not concerned with elevating Jewish context over existing church context. He layers on the Jewish lens to help us understand why Jesus did what He did and said what He said. He unpacks the nation and people of Israel on multiple levels (a nation, a people, the apostles, and so on). He leaves us practical and biblical means to coexist as Gentiles and Jews serving Jesus. I picked it up and kept reading! Great work! It's reframed many things I just didn't know!!
It was most interesting, like polishing a glass. The light it shed on some bible truths were amazing. Very good for deeper study.
Book was very helpful in reminding one of Jesus' Jewish roots and what it means in study of Him.
The most powerful combination of perspective and analogy. Enriched appreciation of who our brothers are in Jesus. Paul's letter to the Romans becomes greatly apparent to today's life and time.

It was well put together and informative with insight to the the times.
Although this book was simple enough to read that it would serve well as an introduction for people unfamiliar with the ideas, it was also meaty enough to make me look at scriptures I've read hundreds of times with new eyes and a new understanding - in fact, it gave me a perspective on most of the New Testament that I'd never even considered, obvious though it now seems! I honestly think it's a book everyone in the church should read.
